While you should be focused on your grades in college, let us face it, making extra money in college is still pretty high on the list. College gets more expensive every year and having extra money becomes harder to do. Having a side job in college is a good way to make extra money, but a lot of times it kinda hard to think of things you can do.

1) Part-Time Job
One of the most traditional ways to earn extra money is to get a part-time job. Maybe as a cashier, at a fast food joint, or restaurant. You can apply to movie theaters, gyms, and bookstores and even on-campus positions.
If you have an eye for catching grammatical errors then proofreading may be the job for you. Proofreading requires you to go through content with a fine-tooth comb catching spelling, grammar and punctuation errors that normally others would not notice.
A lot of time graduate students or even professors may need help researching topics to help them with whatever project they need at the time. If you know how to work your way around the internet and scholarly articles you can offer your time and services.
A great way to make money is to be a tutor. It is a quick and easy way to make money in a short amount of time. You can charge what you want (as long as it is reasonable) and make your own schedule. You can tutor anything from math, science or even foreign languages.
There are a ton of jobs and companies feels as though college students should be grateful they are allowing them to work for them and thus they do not have to pay. There are tons of companies who believe in paying their interns. You just got to find the ones who do. Ask professor and friends if they know of any paid internships. You can check out your career services and search the internet for paid internships.
6) Start a Blog
Starting a blog can be a great way to earn passive income while in college. Setting up a blog takes about 15 minutes and you can learn how to do it here. All you need is patience and a strategy to get traffic to your blog.
If you used to babysit in high school why not continue in college. It is a great way to earn extra cash. It may require you to give up some of your weekends, but at least you will have money for weekends you are free.
8) Private Lesson
Given private lesson is a good way to earn extra money in college. You can come up with your own price per hour and make your own schedule around your college schedule.
As much as people like to say being a YouTuber is not a real job, money is money. While being a Youtuber may not be a traditional job, it is the perfect job for college students. While only a small percent of YouTubers hit it big on Youtube. A lot of them make a decent amount of money every month to enjoy the small pleasure in life. You can vlog from anything to tech, your college experience, food to beauty tips.
10) Virtual Assistant
If you are good with organizing and communicating with others being a Virtual Assistant may be the perfect job for you. Bloggers, YouTubers, and other professionals are always looking for virtual assistants to help them with daily tasks such as posting on Instagram, Pinterest, responding to e-mails, and making daily phone calls. You can find Virtual Assistant gigs on websites like Upwork and Indeed.
11) Drive Uber or Lyft
Set your own hours and schedule. Signing up for Uber is simple and easy if you have a valid driver’s license and a reliable car. The only downside is that you have to be 21 years in order to be a driver for both of these companies
12) Photography & Video Editing
If you have an eye for photography or like to edit videos. You can take advantage of these skills by taking offer your photography skills and video editing skills to others. You can take graduate photos, event photos, or offer to edit videos for organizations or companies.
